Long weekend, long walks. And now your Apple Watch gets to come along: Walkingtrails runs on your wrist ⌚. Navigate without taking out your phone, with a little tap 📳 on your wrist at every turn.

Wear OS fans already had it, so now it's fair and square 🤝.

Walking with music or a podcast 🎧? You choose what happens during a voice instruction: quieter, paused (Android) or just keep playing.

Rudy (our AI, you know him by now 😉) pulled a few all-nighters for this one.

Tap an attraction or artwork for a photo and a bit of background from Wikipedia. Getting smarter while walking, check ✅.

Spotted an orange node? That's a virtual node: it's on the map, but you won't find a signpost there 🕵️. We'll warn you the first time.

And nodes no longer pile up on top of each other, so the map looks much calmer 🧘.

Easter Monday, so there's probably still some chocolate to walk off 🍫. And bringing friends just got easier: every route, including your own custom node loop, can now be shared with a single link 🔗.

They open it straight in the app, or simply on our website if they don't have the app (yet 😉).

Bonus: printing from a shared link works now too 🖨️, and node numbers no longer turn upside down when your map rotates 🙃.

And it will remain like this until next week. So now excuses to put those boots on, and get outside!

You will need to download our updated app first (build 30) though if you still have the old one installed.

We completely reworked 🔨 the Node Planner, it's sharper now, but might miss some nodes 🙈. Please let us know if you find any issues.

With build v29 we just shipped the beta for the Knooppunten planner, you can now build custom node loops, give it a spin on the Map page 🗺️.

An update for our dog lovers 🐶 in v28, enable dog parks via the layers icon 📁 to show them on the map. Woof! 🙀

We got rejected from the Play Store, we are working on it, but it will take some time. In the meantime, please pass on the word to your friends to download the app from the website.
